What actually matters when you are choosing, and what is marketing noise.
Buy one before you buy six
Nipple acceptance is baby-specific and cannot be predicted. The single most expensive mistake in this category is buying a six-pack of a bottle your baby then refuses.
Buy one or two of your first choice and one of a second, different shape. Once you know what your baby takes, stock up on that.
What anti-colic venting actually does
Wind comes from swallowed air, and air gets swallowed when a baby draws a vacuum on a bottle or gulps at a fast flow. Venting systems break the vacuum by letting air in somewhere other than through the milk.
Internal tubes are the most thorough and the most washing up. Vented bases and valved teats are simpler and adequate for most babies. If your baby is not showing wind symptoms, you do not need the most aggressive system.
Match the teat flow to your baby, not their age
Age markings on teats are a rough guide. Watch the feed instead. If milk pools at the corners of the mouth, the baby coughs or their eyes widen, the flow is too fast. If they work hard, tire and fall asleep unfed, it is too slow.
