The short version

Marketora is reader-supported. Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer pays us a commission. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid if you had gone to the retailer directly.

Affiliate commission does not influence which products we recommend, what order we rank them in, or what we say about them.

How the links work

Every "Check price" button on this site goes to a retailer such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, or a manufacturer's own website. You leave Marketora at that point. We do not sell products, we do not take payment, we do not process orders and we never see your payment details.

Outbound commercial links are marked in the page code as sponsored links, per search engine guidelines, and they open in a new tab so you do not lose the article.

Amazon

Marketora is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

Other programmes

We also participate in affiliate programmes operated by other retailers and networks. The arrangement is the same in every case: we are paid a percentage of a completed sale, the price you pay is unaffected, and the relationship has no bearing on our editorial judgement.

What commission does not buy

• It does not buy a place in an article. Products with no affiliate programme appear in our rankings, and several currently sit at the top of one.
• It does not buy a ranking position or a score. Commission rates vary between products and we do not consider them when ranking.
• It does not buy silence. We publish the drawbacks of every product we recommend, including the ones that earn us the most.

Why we tell you this so prominently

Because you should be able to weigh it. A recommendation from someone with a financial interest in your purchase deserves more scrutiny than one without, and the honest response to that is to make the interest obvious rather than to bury it in a footer link.

US readers: this disclosure is provided in line with the Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and testimonials. Readers elsewhere are covered by the equivalent local rules on advertising disclosure.
